Re: (Poll) Your first journey to Iberia

I'll probably start somewhere in Finland, St Petersburg or the Baltics and go to the south coast of Portugal (Faro, Albufeira, Lagos, Portimao or what city they put there). Then drive via Barcelona and Madrid and possibly Lisbon and Andorra to see those places.

Re: 2021 Map expasion Discussion

And what about only adding industries without towns. Farms, mines and forestry industry is not bound to cities or towns. And things like power plants (especially nuclear ones) are often found at remote locations with only a small village nearby. Placing those kind of industries between the larger ci...

Re: 2021 Map expasion Discussion

Myquandro, those other areas will come someday, as long as we support SCS. Oh, I have no doubt that those areas will come someday. But for SCS it’s a matter of choosing which region to do first. And it seems strange to add regions without closing gaps first. There is a reason they worked on Scandin...

Re: 2021 Map expasion Discussion

If they do make a DLC for Russia that includes Moscow, it would be strange not to have Ukraine and Moldova first. Taking a job from Moscow to Istanbul and having to drive via Poland and Hungary is odd. On the other hand, we already have this with the routes from Istanbul to Sicily. Normally you woul...

Re: Euro Truck Simulator 3 concept map

I know it’s likely unfeasible at this moment (but who knows in 10 years time). To me it was much less a proposal for ETS3 and more of a What if? scenario to see what could be done at a larger scale. That’s also one of the reasons I chose 1:6. At a 1:2 and maybe even 1:3 scale you can basically recre...

Re: Euro Truck Simulator 3 concept map

Well, my aim was to get big gaps in areas where population density is low. So, my goal was to only fill in gaps where population density is really high. Otherwise the map would just feel like ETS2 on a bigger scale, to me that wouldn’t be a good enough reason to start over. The only reason to start ...

Re: One major sound that's missing: WIND!

I’ve also noticed this. Especially opening the window while driving on the highway doesn’t seem to do anything more than remove some dampening of sounds. While this is realistic enough when standing still or driving slowly, at highway speeds opening a window causes a lot of turbulence around the cab...

Re: Euro Truck Simulator 3 concept map

I just came across this thread and to me it is an interesting idea of rescaling the map. I've been thinking about a possible rescale for a while and actually made a same kind of map. My idea for a rescale was fundamentally a bit different. I chose a 1:6 scale as it gave me some round number (almost ...

Re: [ETS 2 & ATS] Paintjob Packer - Lightweight mod making tool

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I can’t get this program to work. The first two things so did was installing Python 3 on my PC and downloading the zip file from GitHub. In the folder there is the file packer.py (and beside that a README file, LICENSE file, .gitignore file and a library folder...

Re: What is your average fuel consumption?

Yeah, in reality I would have to know tens, if not over a hindered parameters to get a fairly accurate fuel consumption figure and thus the best determination for gearbox, engine pairing.
