Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

@Wolfi Sorry, but I don’t think those external filters and aerodynamic mirrors look right together. One or the other, but not both. Yeah, obviously, that one is just a quick mockup, I wanted to check how the parts would work. Would require more experiments for sure, before looking any decent. I don...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

If Kenworth had dropped the W900 the way Peterbilt dropped the 389, then the W990 would sell well also. I doubt it. W990 is too drastic of a change when compared to W900. Peterbilt did the right thing by keeping the similar "old hood" shape and only changing the cab. (helped by the fact t...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

Welp, you have your speculations, I have my knowledge and experience with SCS, guess we won't find common ground and that's fine. Personally I would prefer to get the 589 first. After all it's the new flagship and unlike the W990 it's apparently selling quite well. I also like it's design, a good mi...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

I don't underestimate them either, as a matter of fact, I dare say the ATS vehicle team is most capable team in the entirety of SCS. At the same time, as someone who works with them, I know what they're capable of and what seems to be beyond their reach. If the interior shown on stream would be comp...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

I'm not having my hopes high for a Peterbilt this year, no matter how outlandish claims and ideas people post. Yes, they have shown a chunk of a single Ultraloft interior, nothing less, nothing more. Very basic stage. On the other hand, they have shown a lot of other stuff in an almost game-ready st...

Thanks for the explanation, guess my 10 years experience of making truck mods wasn't enough to know that...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

^No Peterbilts? I think you may have forgotten that they also showed the NG 579 on the 2023 Xmas stream already. That should definitely make it out this year. They did? Huh.. must have missed that then. The only thing I remember from the stream was an interior named "Ultra" at a very earl...

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

Unless SCS really steps up their truck making game, I highly doubt we'll see any Peterbilts, or updates/reworks of them, this year. Based on recent releases and what was shown during the Christmas stream, I'd expect the following (in no particular order) Kenworth T680 - full release Mack Pinnacle In...

"Signs on your Truck" is an accessory mod, so it's up to it's creator to make it compatible with other mods (if they want to), not the other way around.

Re: Peterbilt Trucks Discussion Thread

Of course the 8x chassis were low effort. Because that's the corp way. As much as I love SCS and I do enjoy doing all the things I do for them, I can't deny the fact, they're going more and more corporate each year. There are areas of the game that don't get affected by this mindset all that much, b...
