Re: If we dont have ABS simulation, why does the truck almost never lock up wheels?

The wheels don't lock that easily now or slide at all because they have a lot more grip compared to real life. Maybe 4-5 times more. Maybe in the future we could have added the option of changing brake simulation ingame. Some kind of option to reduce tyre grip to get the closest to reality accordin...

I'd love to see an official answer about why the chassis are so long. Ain't this how they're supposed to be? The chassis can be ordered in a variety of lengths. Those images from Western Star's website are pre-production renders of one possible configuration. The references we were provided with (a...

Re: xXCARL1992Xx Screens & Blender work

No idea. We first placed it where the Clean Idle sticker is, but WS said that that was wrong, and they would prefer it to be somewhere under the door handle. We tried that and honestly that didn't look great or work well since the door had a crease line through that area.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

Some fixed plate and some sliders, they were all between the tandem axles. But if you guys think that this needs improving, do submit a bug report. We still have to ensure that every single trailer will clear the rear mudflaps with the fifth wheel position.

At least for the 49X, the fifth wheel is in the same position as Western Star's references.

Re: Western Star Trucks Discussion Thread

Good to know, that said the V and the HE have the same internals ratio (DC/OC are listed as being both the V and the HE), albeit in different casings (vocational trucks use the PTO much more often, while it's much rarer for on-highway) and a different programmation(with the auto-approved differenti...
