Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

IMO, White Bird doesn't actually look that bad. You can still get a sense of the grade in the video, and it looks pretty decent to me. It might just seem unimpressive because it's a video, and you can't get a feel of the truck working, nor can you go into the no. 2 camera or photo mode to check out ...

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

@flight50 and @Shiva, I recognize that road. It's the spitting image of Galena Summit, which, at 8701 ft., is the highest mountain pass in Idaho, and it looks great on the map there. The following screenshot on the blog might actually be on the summit itself.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

The Great Basin only spills into the southern part of the state, but the Snake River Plain is pretty arid too; actually, it turns out it's drier than the Great Basin in ID, since it's at a lower elevation, I reckon.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

@Larry71490, I'm guessing four. Boise is a given, and I'm betting the other garage cities will be Twin Falls, Idaho Falls, and either Lewiston or Coeur d'Alene.

Re: Idaho Discussion Thread

I think all of western US 2, from Everett to St. Ignace, could be included (the remaining stretch to Sault Ste Marie would be concurrent with I-75). The segment between Spokane and Sandpoint may not be too logistically necessary, since it's kind of redundant when considering I-90 and US 95, but I'll...

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Rangely is an interesting choice for a marked city, I really didn't see it coming. I guess this confirms that the 139 will be in, at least to some degree, but I can't imagine it would be excluded, otherwise the road to Grand Junction will be a long one. By the way, what does everyone think of this p...

Re: Colorado Discussion Thread

Yeah, if Eisenhower is represented in 1:20 scale, it'll be about 450 ft. long. For reference, the Carlin Tunnels on I-80 are a third of a mile each IRL, and they seem to be about 1:1 scale in ATS, in terms of length. I hope Eisenhower Tunnel will be 1:1, which seems feasible, since the tunnel is onl...
