Re: Boarding and leaving ferries

Exactly. The ferry type in your (microscopic) picture looks very similar to Color Line's ferries between Norway and Denmark, M/S SuperSpeed 1 and M/S SuperSpeed 2, which only load and unload at the stern: https://www.agderposten.no/polopoly_fs/1.1475227.1448453797!/image/4187772206.jpg_gen/derivativ...

Re: Road fines and speedlimit grace

I think it's a little too simple to say that "you earn too much money in game, therefore this is not an issue". This really isn't about the money, but about the realism of what to expect when driving around in the virtual world. Being able to grossly speed without legal consequences is certainly a f...

Re: Separation of several inputs

Absolutely. This comes up from time to time. ETS2 would benefit immensely from making a button mapping system like OMSI, where the player can assign simple button inputs like today, combine multiple keys for more advanced functions, change between toggle to activate or hold to keep activated (would ...

Re: [Baltic DLC] Signs on Pavement - JCT Hwy 2 & Hwy 9 - Finland (sec+0009-0015)

Do you know for sure that these rules apply to Finland? There are plenty of places in Europe where this is perfectly correct placement of signs.

Re: game development

I am perfectly happy with the "beam of headlights" in ETS2.

Re: truck wiper angle

What are you on about now? If you read the posts, you will see that everyone knows and agrees that the wiper animations are useless on all trucks except the Scania Next Gen. The reason why they are fixed on this truck, is because someone provided SCS with a video of running wipers they could use as ...

Re: Boarding and leaving ferries

That is not the case on most modern large international ferries. You will typically enter at the stern on one side, drive towards the bow, do a 180° turn and drive back on the other side of the ship to exit through the stern again on the other side. Smaller domestic ferries still mostly load and unl...

Re: 6x2*4 chassis config. (with tagaxle steering wheels)

Yes, it clearly has a 5th wheel on the picture. And it is clearly not a normal container chassis (the most common form of swap body). There are other solutions though, where the different bodies are attatched to the fifth wheel and some mechanism in the front. But as this was only a random picture f...

Re: 6x2*4 chassis config. (with tagaxle steering wheels)

Yes, on a container chassis it would make sense. I actually drove a 6x2 with steerable tag axle only a few hours ago, this was a container chassis. Make sure to take a picture next time you see one of their semis with a steerable tag. Never seen anything like that before, except in Wolfi's picture a...

Re: 6x2*4 chassis config. (with tagaxle steering wheels)

And you actually see the rear wheel steer? Because I have encountered lots of Kurt Beyer trucks like the one in your picture, and they have all been perfectly normal (non-steering) 6x2s.
