Like I said its just a guessing game. They are generated from exporting the models. Those files tell the game what texture its associated with the model.

If its that pink / purple color it is something wrong with your image. Most common mistake seems to be its size is not in the power of 2. When making your images make sure the layers or image is not bigger than the canvas size.

Just edit the title on the steam workshop. I also tried changing the title when uploading to the workshop. I deleted a word and it uploaded and updated the title just fine.

Only way is to edit the material itself. So have to take it into blender and edit it.
