Also we can't burn (overheat brakes) going downhill so that's one more advantage.
Best way, for me, is to gradually push the brakes and shift gear down rather than sitting on the brakes; combining this with retarder slows down a truck rather nicely (even without the pedals)

Re: Question about brakes.
One thing we don't have is oil temperature, so use that retarder as much as you can and want (very useful on keyboard setup)

Re: Huge screenshots quality loss
Well pretty much all photos from the game require editing in my case; that's why I have Photoshop. It's mostly to edit colors and reduce the noise around edges.

Re: Frosty Winter Weather Mod v6.0 [Upd: 23 Sep 2016]
Thanks, I'll try that. I'm using only this mod and no map mods. Should be fine when it comes to mods and "overlapping" of def folders.

Re: Frosty Winter Weather Mod v6.0 [Upd: 23 Sep 2016]
This is a great mod, I love it.
Just curious; is it possible to set 2-3 different types of snowfall (rain) somehow? I'd love to see slight snow and not a blizzard each time. I know rain (by default) increases in the game but is it possible to set different values or it can not be changed?

Re: Huge screenshots quality loss
AFAIK the screenshot (photo mode in the game) is not capable of capturing any of the mods running "above" the game (sweetfx and similar). Perhaps an alternative software (bandicam) is capable of this? Have you tried anything similar?

Re: DLC Vans
I'm here for the huge, noisy V8's and raw power
Thanks, but other than AI vehicles (such as cargo escort) I don't need any vans in the game.

Re: Peterbilt 579 - settling an argument
thanks Baja, I was figuring similar myself. With help from PW4056 I laid a photo over the SCS image Judging by the pdf's and data sheet that I've got from Peterbilt, 72" version doesn't have that small window on the side due to the smaller compartment while 80" version does. That's what I...

Re: Peterbilt 579 - settling an argument
As far as my research goes, this version in the game is a 72" sleeper. Can't be 100% sure cause I have no detailed info or the knowledge about US trucks

Re: engine start
May I assume this happens on moded truck? If so, you can remove the sound from within a mod (if it's not locked). In case it's locked you can either ask the author about it or keep playing as it is. Alternative is to check sound mods (if you have some) to see what causes the "beep" to play...
