Erfaring/Røynsle

#1 Post by Magnum-driver » 06 Jan 2018 18:05

Please be aware that the preferred word for experience and skill is røynsle. The word erfaring shouldn't be used at all as it is a bokmål synonym.

Could you create one thread with three posts instead of creating one thread per one typo?

These are the typos I see most often on translated strings, and I made individual threads for them to make sure any potential co-translators, if they bother to visit this forum, see which words they needs to keep in mind. A thread like "Magnum-driver's geeky nerdy loser typo correction thread" is definitely going to be ignored by everyone.

I don't think there are active members of Norwegian Nynorsk translation team that check forums so can you explain ME what's wrong? I can send correct versions.

That's somewhat correct, there are no active members of that team that checks this forum because there is no Norwegian Nynorsk team at all. At the moment there is only one active translator to that language - me. I assume you can't write this language given your lack of initiative with it on Get Localisation, so I'm afraid you're of no help here.

I can. If you know that it's a typo why you don't get rid of it by yourself?

I am getting rid of them myself, which now is a completed process. However, I also needed a way to tell potential and inactive translators about their blunders.

You don't have to write about typos here if you get rid of them by yourself.

Strictly these aren't typos, but obviously common errors which I am explaining with these threads so no future translators are repeating them. I know I don't have to write about them, but also I do not want to to though the list of translated strings again checking the quality of the translation.
