Thrustmaster TMX Wheel Compatibility

I got a Thrustmaster TMX Pro Force Feedback wheel to use with ETS2. I can't get it to work, and Thrustmaster Support is no help. They insist that it is the ETS2's problem even though none of the four games I have with the ability to use A steering wheel (DiRT, SpinWheels Mud Runner, ETS 2 and ATS) work with it either.My Windows 10 DOES recognize the wheel; the Thrustmaster Control Panel demonstrates everything working, and the Windows Device Manager lists it.
The troublesome symptom I have is just that ETS2's Options Control dialogs and Input Wizard simply do not find the wheel at all.

Q.Does anyone else has experience actually using the Thrustmaster TMX with ETS 2 on a Windows machine--and especially on a Windows 10 one. AND, if you had difficulty getting it to work, how did you fix it?
