Extra functionality for joypad?

#1 Post by Bigfilmguy » 05 Oct 2019 14:47

Hi all,

I'm getting ETS2 next week and am planning to use an Xbox One controller until I can afford a decent wheel and pedals setup. However, I was wondering if you can use buttons as a sort of shift or modifier key? For example, I play Farming Simulator 19 on PS4, and the top bumpers (L1/R1) act as modifiers so I can use more controls, e.g. Triangle on it's own to switch implements, but L1 and Triangle to unload a trailer. Is there a way I do that with an Xbox controller on ETS2, so that if i pressed X on its own, it acted as the Enter key, but if I held down LB and X, it acted as T key?

Not a problem if it wont, just curious and despite all my best efforts I can't find an answer anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any advice or comments.

Sorry for late answer. Yes, it's possible, used that for ages. I plan on making a tutorial soon.
