Logitech Driving Force GT

#1 Post by Unco » 16 Jan 2013 16:52

Works great with ETS2 and 18WoSET2. Sometimes it goes slightly off-center after I wake the PC (I don't normally shut down - only sleep), but if I notice this, I just unplug the USB plug and then plug it back in.

To get full rotation, I set the "Degrees of Rotation" to 900° in the Game Controllers - Settings (NOT in the game). To access this, right click on the Logitech Profiler tray icon, click on Game Controllers, select the steering wheel and click Properties and then click "Settings".

900° seems to work best for both truck games.

Race sims such as GT Legends, require a much tighter setting, like 200°.

I set the "Degrees of Rotation" to 655°. i tried to make the same rotation as the view of screen in real. it works fine. But, sometimes it sets 200 Degrees automatically. It forces me to quit the game and open it again. Do you have a problem like that?
thanks

No, I haven't had that problem, but then again, I've only had the steering wheel since last Friday. I have played a few times since then though, and haven't noticed any issues like the one you described. That's weird. Maybe try pausing the game, then Alt+Tab out of it and reset the degrees value, then go back into the game?

Well, I don't know what to suggest as I haven't had that problem. For what it's worth, I'm running Logitech Profiler version 5.10.127 with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 and I log into my PC using the administrator account.

Hi All. I am also using Logitech Driving Force GT and I love it.
When I had purchased my first truck simulation game (GTS), I played it with keyboard + mouse.
After I purchased UKTS and also played it with keyboard + mouse.
When I purchased ETS, I also purchased my Logitech DF GT. It may sound funny but after I made my first delivery in ETS with a steering wheel, I closed the game, turned back to GTS, open new profile and played till I can say "I did everything." Later did the same thing with UKTS and turned back to ETS

With its 900° steering angle and realistic force feedback this steering wheel gives pleasure.
Cons, that I can mention, Logitech DF GT doesnt have clutch pedal (only brake+gas). If you want 3 pedals then you must choose G25 or G27 (not sure which one has this feature). Another thing, is the price issue. Logitech products are quite expensive then others. But when you start to use it, you can say, it worth every cent that you spend.

Usta,
When you open Logitech Profiler to set steering angle, at the bottom there is place where you can choose "Allow game to adjust settings". Did you check if you've selected or not? Maybe this can be the solution..

I agree with Unco about 900° steering angle is the best for all truck simulation games.

Have a safe trip :)

I hadn't noticed the "Specific Game Settings" until you mentioned it. When I go into it, mine are all blank (none of the boxes are ticked). Maybe usta could have a look there.

Hi dawnofthemoon, I did not allow the game to adjust my settings. I did not check "Allow game to adjust settings". It is unchecked. It says it is recommended. I am going to try it.

Hi Unco, I'm running Logitech Profiler version 5.10.127 (64 Bit) with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 Bit.

Thank you all for your answers :)

I also has that problem about the 200 degree "bug". But i just Alt+Tab; ing the game, and (usually, it always says 900 degrees in the LGP) then i draw the slider down to 40, then up to 900 again.
Then it works!
Otherwise, i totally LOVE to play ETS2 with mah' Logitech Driving Force GT!
AMD A8-5500 @ 3.2
GIGABYTE Radeon HD 7750 1GB
ASUS F2A85-M LE Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1666

Corsair CX600 PSU
Corsair Carbide 400R

And Euro Truck Simulator 2, ofcourse :-)

Guys, I finally bought a Driving Force GT. Can you guys give me some advice about setting it up in the game? I can't drive without FB centering and the centering is too stiff, hard to steer :(

Later edit: Me noob! I figured it out, tweaked the logitech profiler settings :D What about sensitivity and non-linearity, what values are you guys using?
