Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
After I've started using Momo's Physics 5 (Workshop mod) my G29 wheel has gotten unstable near the centre point.
A little nudge will cause it to start oscillating from side to side. What can I change in the ini to fix this?

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
Physics mods sometimes change the 'max_visual_rotation' in /def/vehicle/physics.sii file. That number must correspond with the in the Real_G27_FFB.ini there's a parameter called # value from 'steer_range'. It should correspond to the 'max_visual_rotation' value from the physics.sii file.
Edit: By the way, those of you who do not use a physics mod which changes that value, or the "Additional settings of steering gear ratio" (from the readme file), should have the 'max_visual_rotation' set to 35.

Cheers! I'll check those out.

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
@Skeleth I suggested checking that value because he claimed that a physics mod had changed the feeling of the force feedback of his wheel.
"unstable near the centre point; A little nudge will cause it to start oscillating from side to side" are actually common issues with the plugin.
In the readme file of the plugin, there's this line:
"unstable near the centre point; A little nudge will cause it to start oscillating from side to side" are actually common issues with the plugin.
In the readme file of the plugin, there's this line:
which hints about how to make the center point more stable. The wheel animation mod that is linked in the "Additional settings of steering gear ratio" section doesn't actually work for me, so I don't use those settings. But I believe reducing the 'steering_force' parameter by a bit in the .ini file helps with the issue like supric had noted.Testing this version was made by me with the settings specified under "Additional settings of steering gear ratio ". Without it FFB can be sharp in the Central zone, but you can decrease the value of the effort.
Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
You mean the oscillation / center twitch issue? I don't have the oscillation issue but I do have the incredibly annoying "twitch/jolt" issue in the center position. I'll try the steering_force parameter too and report back. I think that's probably the only setting I haven't messed with yet

The physics mod changes the suspension of the trucks I think and that might cause the wobbliness when on the highway. This FFB plugin in the basic RJL is nice and tight
The mod is good though so I'll try finding how to tighten it up again.

I have a problem with the LEDs blinking all the time constantly every 0,5sekunds or so. Have tried changing the mode of the LEDs but they continue blinking the same. Don't know how to fix it, but I know I want to have it fixed cause the force feedback is lovely.

Re: FFB plugin (v2.5 upd 30.01.2017) / AT plugin
I've tried keeping up with this thread for a few months now because I heard good things about this plugin but I was always really hesitant to try it because I've read about so many people having problems with. I decided to try it today, but I can't figure out how to tell if it is working? It didn't feel like it was doing much of anything, I wasn't getting any vibrations from the engine, but it did cause a large dead zone in the center. I'm really sorry if the information I need to fix this is somewhere else in the thread, it probably is but I can't for the life of me figure out what I need. Can someone please tell me based on my real_g27_ffb.log file if its working or not? I have a G920 on Windows 10 x64 and I have the prerequisite software installed. I read through the instructions completely and followed them to the letter. Here's the log, I'd really appreciate some help on this:
I'm worried about the lines that say
"Default properties returned!
Failed!"
[edit] So I ended up unplugging my TrackIR and adding the preferred IDs of my wheel that were detecting in the log and I got some functionality, but it was very very slight. The only time I noticed the FFB was when the vehicle was on a slant. There was nothing from colission, and nothing from engine. I even changed the two engine values in the ini to 50, still nothing. It doesn't (and shouldn't be) need to be as crazy as the in-game FFB, but the way it is now there's almost no point. Maybe its not even working at all, though, I don't know.
