Beginner’s question re Vive la France

Please forgive a beginner’s total incompetence. I’ve bought ET2 for my young friend, and then the Vive la France add on. He installed the add on, and says it installed correctly. But we cannot tell whether it has installed or whether, when we drive from Calais to Lille, for example, we are still doing it on ET2 rather than on Vive la France. In short, how can we tell whether Vive la France has installed? Words of one syllable, suitable for septuagenarian technophobe would be greatly appreciated. We are working on a pc, with Windows 10 installed. Many thanks for any help you can give.

Well, it is simple - this is highlighted VLF with grey base map (dark/ black parts are another two DLC - Scandinavia and Going east!). So if he has only the grey area, his VLF DLC isnt installed correctly.

You do not launch our DLC one by one, they always add content right into the game, so you can start truckin again where you finished, before you installed new DLC (well, usually it takes you to your home garage...).
