Rigid Trucks

#1 Post by NOE » 15 May 2019 16:52

Hey there,

I wanted to suggest tandem/rigid trucks for ETS2 but noticed that there are actually quiet a few suggestions about it already.

Also found this old blog post by SCS, so I wanted to ask if this is still something that is being worked on and if not what caused it to be tossed aside?

Actually, now that I look at it: I don't think this is the right place on the forums.

Could a Mod please move this to the right place?

I'm pretty sure this will come, we just got the B dubbles and tripples and what not, it takes time, I'm certain we will get these too at some point ;) differnce with these, the trucks need changing too ;)

Agreed but I don't think it would be to much work in terms of chase changes as you would only need to extend it.

Slap me if I am wrong but from a modeling point of few this doesn't seem too hard.

I think the mechanics as mentioned in the blog post will be the far bigger challenge (still hope it gets implemented exactly like this :D)

The hardest part of rigid trucks,is going through re-licensing the trucks.

Rigids and tractor-trailer systems share the chassis and cabin.

SCS doesnt have the rights to use the rigid chassis for the trucks, except for the New Actros every other truck needs a new license

because we would have the chassis already in the model if SCS has asked for them like on the New Actros
