Graphics ?
Hi i just purchased the game and have noticed that fences and lampposts are making a weird flickering as you drive past and was wondering what graphic settings can clean this up - i increased scaling to 300 and its a bit better - not really surte how to describe it but hope someone understand what im on about thanks
Re: Graphics ?
I have no problems with that.
try "verify integrity of game files" (Right-click on game > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Files)

Re: Graphics ?
I understand the problem. Have the same thing. I changed some settings in my graphic card wich helped a bit but still..

@Dazraz @opperboef the only solution to a perfect image wihtout flicker etc. is this: https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1000
i use this solution my self and it is so much better, the con are you cannot have SSAO enabled.
Check it out, its a complete guide, read it carefully and if any problems sign up their forum, people on their forum are very friendly and helpfull

Re: Graphics ?
Dazraz, the effect you are noticing is due the game actually doesn't have a modern and proper anti-aliasing system. It's nothing wrong in your computer,. it's just the game lacks this feature. The upscaling you use is a kind of brute-force alternative of AA most people use. Then it's also the option Truckdrivr linked.
Re: Graphics ?
It is old games that could do anti-aliasing easily. "Modern" games have problems with it because they "cheat" and apply lights later after the scene is done in "screen space", or something like that. So you can't have a light make partial contribution to a pixel anymore. Most people are overly optimistic about new technology, assuming everything gets better by default. Proper anti-aliasing is always brute force.
Fences can be mip-mapped to precalculate a smaller version for display in the distance, rather than doing it in realtime. But there must be a reason why they use rough 1-bit transparency on them. Probably also so they can interact with lights.

Re: Graphics ?
ETS and ATS use the same method like any other game, deferred rendering and anti aliasing like it was done back in the day dont work together
