Will Steam inventory affect your Save Game

if you play offline on steam and have inventory for it will it affect your save game

While offline you won't be able to use your steam inventory items. Other that, no effect.

More precisely, you won't able to buy items from inventory when playing offline, but already bought items will still be there.

It would be a kind of a dissapointment if needed to be online to use inventory items, I haven't tried it though

You get a pop up warning you that Steam Inventory items are unavailable and can either choose to disable them or carry on regardless. I am fairly sure (but not 100% certain, might be a false memory) that they disappear whilst playing offline whichever option you choose.

Edit: decided to try it as a public service and no, the accessories are still visible in the cabin but as stated above you cannot place new items via truck upgrades.

The game has to keep in cache the items that come from the Steam inventory t to avoid game crashes. Otherwise, either if the game would be offline or the item would be sold in Steam, if it still would be present in any truck, it will be the same as when people disable mods of accessories that they still have in some truck somewhere.

Of course, what it doesn't allow is to keep acquiring items for our trucks if the underlying Steam inventory doesn't have it anymore / cannot be checked.
