High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
Hi,
since i updated the game from 1.13 to 1.22 gameversion i have two screenshots of the same image in my screenshots folder. The first one is called "ets2_00001" an the the second "ets2_hq_56e54c8d", but as i said its the same screenshot, only the "hq-one" is in png. What i want is, to only have the standart ets2_xxxxx screenshot. Anyone knows where in the game or in steam i can disable that the game capture the "hq-one" ?
Its not a really big deal, but with the "hq-one" the game messes up the whole screenshot-sequence.
regards, johnny

Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
To disable HQ screenshoots - you need to set
uset g_hq_3d_screenshot "0"
in your config.cfg file.
uset g_hq_3d_screenshot "0"
in your config.cfg file.
Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
Interesting... does this only change the format to png or is there something more to it?
whats hq_3d scale?
Code: Select all
uset g_hq_3d_scale "0.0"
uset g_hq_3d_screenshot "0"
Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
In addition to this: what differences can we expect between the "regular" screenshots and the "HQ" screenshots ?

Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
It's weird, setting the scale to 3.0 gets a really HD view in the photo studio, but the png-file is still the same size as the original one and the screenshot itself looks as pixely as it always have
Did set the scale to 6 and my game crashed

Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
Mmmm ... so maybe 3.0 equals 300% scaling ... that might explain the crash. Running it at 600% scaling ...

Re: High Quality Screenshots in Screenshot-Folder
Yeah, I that was what I figured too, but why isn't the output file 3 times bigger?

Short explanation:
Because JPEG doesn't grow linearly. Nor does PNG.
On extended hiatus.
