Hi all,
I would like from you to clarify, that my game isn't messed by some unused mod. When you go into Settings - Controls - H-Shifter setup, there is a first changeable option called "Shifter layout". In this dropdown list which options do you have? Mine are (from top): Range, Splitter, Range-Splitter, Scania 12 speeds, Scania 12+2 speeds, Volvo 12 speeds, Volvo 12+2 speeds and ZF 12 speeds, ZF 16 speeds. Is it RIGHT??
I am asking because I was using some transsmission mod related to layouts, but I left it many months ago. And because I found some post on this forum about wishes to more realistic shift patterns I started "panic" More realistic shifter layouts are there so why want more? Or I am missing something?
I have hard economy mod, which allow you to take first loan after 50 quick jobs and because I have now about 45 jobs done, I spent many kilometres in different trucks. According to this image I always set right layouts in driven trucks. And I must say, it worked pretty well. So please don't tell me, that you have no such options, because, as I said, I am not using that mod, so my game would be probably broken.
Many thanks.

Re: Scania, Volvo and ZF shifter layouts
Yep some truck specific shifter layouts have been added as default
Re: Scania, Volvo and ZF shifter layouts
Ok, thanks for clarification
So my next question is. According to picture mentioned in my first post, there are shifting schemes for ZF, Scania and Volvo. Eaton Fuller I don't count. Scania and Volvo are obvious to which brand belongs and for the ZF, there are Iveco, Daf, Man and Renault. But mercedes benz missing. And because I like the new Actros MP4 and plan to buy them as my truck, I'm interested, which shifting scheme are used. I found out, that in new Actros mainly fully automatic transmissions are used but what about MP3? or what about the other variants where are manual shifting, is it possible to find out which scheme are used? Sorry for maybe dumb questions but I plan to play maximum realisticly (well, except automatic shifting) and want to know which gear is where
Many thanks for answers, it's the last, I promise

Re: Scania, Volvo and ZF shifter layouts
OK, many thanks guys
I must say, I'm little dissapointed. Not by your answers of course. It helped a lot! But semiautomatic? Really? I must say, if I would be professional driver I would like to have fullauto transmission but in the game I would have a lack of shifting if I would use automatic shifting. This is why I love ATS maybe more than ETS - Eaton Fuller 18. It forgive you nothing. I love my, often incorrect attempts to find a proper gear after braking with with heavy cargo behind me. It littlebit sad, that in europe there are so many automatic transsmissions. But I understand, you can't stop progress. I suspect that even new Scania or Volvo FH have also fully automatic variants.
Ok so I can consider this topic solved and for the fun I will go down a little from my realistic request and I will use ZF scheme which is close to me.
Thanks again.
