Engine sii rpm section

#1 Post by KGergely » 17 Apr 2021 08:44

Hello guys,

Here is the thing.
I would like to edit the rpm ranges for automatic transmissions, but in the engine definition file I can't find the rpm section, only the torque.

I added it manually, but it doesn't work.
I made things based on this tutorial: viewtopic.php?t=285136

Any ideas what can I do?
Thanks in advance!

Regards!

the engine isnt responsible for shifting, the gearbox is, you have to modify the transmission not the engine

wait, sorry my error, they are in the engine files, i mixed it up

if there are none the game uses defaults so you have to write your own

Ah okay
And how exactly should I do it?
Yesterday I tried to edit the original engine sii file by adding the rpm section, but it didn't work in game

Edit: I inserted the engine sii file to the sound mod's scs file, and now works.
