Today I also tried to install ETS2 on Linux (native version), but contrary to what happened with ATS, this time I encounter a big problem.
Windows profiles are not recognized by the game.
No, it's not a question of path, the path is the correct one.
I put the profiles in the same folder where the game created the default profile, but it doesn't work.
What the hell can I do?

Re: Problem with windows profiles...
I just tested it with my Windows/Proton profile folder. I have 7 different profiles which i copied to the Linux native profile location. But only 2 of them appears when i start Linux native version.
But when creating a new profile in Windows version, this profile shows up in Linux version.

Re: Problem with windows profiles...
This is very strange, on ATS I have never had any problems and I have installed it several times.
However I also solved acrobatically with ETS2. To transfer the profiles I used the Steam cloud, which I don't usually use. With a few adjustments I solved it in the end. The most frustrating thing is to find that many mods have the "black texture issue" due to the textures being saved in an incompatible way. I'm fixing them one by one for my own use but, heck, it's hard work.

Re: Problem with windows profiles...
It's a little bit late, but i think i found the solution.
When creating a profile, folder name is created as a hexadecimal value inside your profile folder. E.g. "Testprofile" gives you a folder 5465737470726f66696c65
When creating a profile in Windows or running with Proton all characters are lower case. If you want to use this profile in Linux, you have to change it in upper case. In the example you have to rename folder to 5465737470726F66696C65.
This is why only 2 of my 7 profiles are recognized, because these are the only without a alphabetic character.

Re: Problem with windows profiles...
OK, i checked my profile folder in Windows and there are some in lower case and some in upper case. Since Windows makes no difference in upper/lower-case filenames this is no problem so far.
Nevertheless this was my problem to have no access to the profile in Linux.
