I have been waiting for ever for a game to have some radio stations from Arkansas:

100.3 The Edge; Modern and classic rock, good for those situation when driving in town:
http://kdje-fm.akacast.akamaistream.net ... et/kdje-fm
(It seems there are not many games with good rock stations with common rock music. This is one of the best rock stations in my opinion.)

KSSN 95.7; Modern country; good for freeway or highway driving in the woods or the fields or driving in small towns:
http://kssn-fm.akacast.akamaistream.net ... et/kssn-fm
(I am not a huge fan of country, but what is a truck driving game without country music?)

100.5 The Wolf; Great for trucking, I always thought of it as the "trucker's station":
http://kmjx-fm.akacast.akamaistream.net ... et/kmjx-fm
(Again: not a huge country fan, but this is the PERFECT trucking station [this station even states that, suggesting that all people listing to it are doing so while in either a truck or a tractor (take that for what you will, considering big rigs are sometimes called tractors), but then states that this statement is not true])

Seeing these stations in a game would right then, have me going out to buy it.

Here is a popular one from Denver, Colorado:

Code: Select all

stream_data[0]: "http://kbpi-fm.akacast.akamaistream.net/7/535/19810/v1/auth.akacast.akamaistream.net/kbpi-fm|KBPI Rocks The Rockies!|Rock|Eng|196|1"
I tried it in my game, but can't get no audio. Is the streaming player working? ( I tried the address in VLC and it plays, so I assume the URL is correct...)

That radio station is part of the iHeart Radio conglomerate, and they do not allow web streaming on any platform other than thier own app..

you can get the app through their website http://www.kiisfm.com but since the app contains it's own security algorithm you won't be able to get it into the game's player.. unfortunately you will run into this problem with at least 65% of all American radio stations... it's all due to advertising rights and royalties paid to the music companies by the radio stations...
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not a good idea!

Hi everyone,

According to the game readme we should be able to play aac streams and other formats with proper codecs.
Supported streams
The game supports all MP3-type streams (except MMS). With proper codecs, which are often already installed, you can also listen to many other stream formats.
Now I'm curious what codecs we should install that ETS 2 would recognize and use?
