While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Help Request

#1 Post by daryy2011 » 16 Jun 2021 16:41

Good morning/afternoon/evening!

I have receantly read the rules and I couldn't understand exactly this part. I would like to know if it is possible to ask for help to update a mod that I found on the internet (not on the workshop). I am not the author and I think it is really old as it has some bugs.

Thanks in advice.

PS: I also read that I could ask the author for permission to work on this mod. Is that ok?

You're best off trying to get hold of the author before hand.

I'd hate it if someone updated/altered my mod without asking me first.
