NaturaLux working in 1.38 and 1.39

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

So curious about if we will be able to use the amaizing skyboxes with the new lighting system in 1.40 ... it would be so sad if NL would die with 1.40 ...

Yeah it would be a shame if those high quality skyboxes just went to waste

@skyy-v8 @koolizz Mods that change the weather in patch 1.40 will not work without adaptation. In the new patch, the weather is very well done without mods

I am a huge fan of NL and have been trying to keep it alive until this moment. But the graphics rendering of the 1.40 is superior, and makes NL useless. Today I wouldn't go back to using NL. Sure, some NL skies still look better than SCS skies, but the lighting for me is much better with 1.40.

Yes indeed, however what is still pretty bad are the quality of the skyboxes. The lighting itself is good, great even in 1.40. without mods. But the resolution of the skyboxes are pretty low.

I hope someone makes a standalone skybox upscale mod because I can't find one.

Frustrating huh? A free mod that was tirelessly made by someone in their own time frustrates you because it needs updating each patch. So selfish.

Anyway, I think by the looks of things now naturalux as a whole package is no longer needed as 1.40 is natively superior, but as mentined the skyboxes are still not NL quality. Maybe someone could make a mod using NL skyboxes only then we would have the perfect mix.
