NaturaLux working in 1.38 and 1.39

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Mod mixing skyboxes and subtle floating icons would be perfect addition to 1.40.
Check out some of my trucking.

@Watermark Could you give more details? This mod only takes the original textures (which have a 4k wide resolution) and by means of an AI Software it expands them to 8K to gain definition and some quality.
It is not a Weather mod (it does not modify weather files, colors, lighting, rain, fog etc.) it only modifies the textures, it seems fine to me.

Well, here is a first example of a skybox he screwed up. Also, the skyboxes are not better, it's just the "placebo" effect coming in play because supposedly the images are rendered at higher resolution...

there is no placebo, the images are better, they are not true 8k but they are better then the low resolution ones from SCS and just because there can be mistakes in the textures because of the upscale doesnt make it utter garbage

Thanks for your valuable feedback. Will test it, because RBW give me huge FPS drops although a strong machine (i7 11700k paired with a RTX 3060)... The new lighting system is lovely but miss 4k clouds from NL a lotxXCARL1992Xx wrote: ↑07 May 2021 13:45 there is no placebo, the images are better, they are not true 8k but they are better then the low resolution ones from SCS and just because there can be mistakes in the textures because of the upscale doesnt make it utter garbage

They are better, it's not placebo effect. Issue from picture is known and will be fixed shortly according to the author.Watermark wrote: ↑07 May 2021 13:28 Well, here is a first example of a skybox he screwed up. Comparison, opening the textures with editor:

You can open the images in a new browser tab to see the differences more clearly.
Don't like the mod? it's okay, it's respectable. But it's not rubbish, and I don't understand "that user doesn't know what he's doing", a user who by the way is from the ProMods team. The difference is appreciable and some of us appreciate this mod, some small bugs have already been fixed through an update.
