Fps Drops in the game
Fps Drops in the game
Hi,
I created another topic 2 months ago about this but the results wasn`t reasonable and satisfying.
I have a PC with the specs below:
CPU : AMD Phenom ll x6 1100
GPU : Radeon XFX 6970 HD
RAM : 4g ddr3
Power : 870w
Cooling : Zalman xx
Case : Thermaltake with 4 fans so the temperature in the case is really low and it`s also facing the air conditioner.
I can dominated all and every new and old game on High and sometimes Ultra quality without any fps drops But I don`t understand why this EST2 Game gives me fps drops. Whenever I enter a city ormore than 5 cars are stopped some where I face fps drops.
I even Overclocked my cpu and gpu according to specialist guidelines but I still have this issue in ETS2.
Anyone else has the same issue? Any ideas?

Re: Fps Drops in the game
The game isn't optimized very well. I also expected a solid framerate with my current setup but the game suffers from occasional stuttering, especially in cities and areas with lots of trees. The framerate also seems to be worse when using interior view. I guess there's nothing we can do about it. Even people with extreme setups are having these issues. I don't think future game updates are going to change much performance wise, unfortunately.

Re: Fps Drops in the game
On the latest updates (1.4.8s) i got fps drop everytime i turned the lights on. Every lights that turned on will drop my fps. Even blinker. Everytime the blinker turned on on my dashboard, it will drop my fps (cabin camera). Anyone got the same problem?? ETS2 below 1.4x patch was working fine with me, no fps drop whatsoever.
Im using AMD Vishera 8350 8core @4.1ghz, 8GB DDR3, MSI HD6950 TwinFrozr III PE/OC edition. So its really strange that lighting issue will drop my fps.

Well it's the engine, either they can spend too much time optimizing this engine or get the new engine from scratch. We can expect some fixes for this engine but not much more than that.
ETS 3 (even if it's too soon to talk about) must get a new engine with much more effects and further optimization.

I see the problem. CPU named as AMD... I have Intel Core i5-2500k and no problems...
alba: Do you try to set your CPU to defaults?
CPU: i5-2500k 3,3 @ 4,2 GHz
GPU: MSI R7950 TwinFrozr III
RAM: 16GB Corsair XMS3 1333 MHz
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
HDD: 1TB WDGP / 1TB WDBC

I don't know english good. Sometimes I use Google Translator.

Sorry, but there is no problem with amd cpus. I know cause I got a Phenom II X4 965 and I don't experience any frame drops from lights or trees.

Yes I did, The thing is, as I mentioned first, I dominate every new game you can think of with my current setup.7UN3RK0 wrote:I see the problem. CPU named as AMD... I have Intel Core i5-2500k and no problems...

Re: Fps Drops in the game
Or maybe its GPU related? Since we're both using 6 series ATI GPU (mine was 6950 and yours 6970). But as you mentioned before, i can dominate every new game easily with my setup.alba wrote:Yes I did, The thing is, as I mentioned first, I dominate every new game you can think of with my current setup.
And alba, do you got fps drop related to lightning too? I do got FPS drop in city but its got much better now since patch 1.4.x.

I do have fps drops when I reach to a traffic jam then for test I turn on the light with high beam and indicators. With each indicator blink shows fps drop.
Really don`t know why it`s like this.
