Game keeps crashing

Today game started randomly crashing.

I tried to create a new profile but it still crashes. But if I start game in safe mode then the game will work as normal.

In Steam, go to Library, right click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 and click Properties, click on the UPDATES tab and select "Always keep this game up to date". Click "Close".

Steam will then proceed to download and install the 1.4.12 patch. See how that goes.

Alternatively he is posting the old game.log, the new log is in game.log.txt.
Which one did you post?

Yes. People are very quick to accuse of pirating here. I also noted that it's 1.3.1s as of July 15th. But 1.4.x was out by July 9th. So maybe OP doesn't have a newer version. For whatever reason.

In any case it would be good if the old log files were removed or renamed when the game changes the name of them. This is not the first time somebody could accidently have posted the old version instead of the new version.

I have that option selected at Steam, but for some reason it hasnt updated, so I installed 1.4.12 patch manually. Still didin´t fix the problem. :(

If you are on steam, how can you then update from 1.3.1 to 1.4.8, does steam not always update to the latest version?
I mean, should it not have updated from 1.3.1 to 1.4.12 right away?
