GPS route through factory yard

#1 Post by Johan » 19 Oct 2013 17:29

When making a delivery from Bialystok to Olsztyn, the GPS directed me through this factory yard. I was able to drive through as the barrier on the other side of the yard was open.

Gained at least 34 seconds as i didn't have to wait for the traffic light further ahead and even sneaked into first position via this shortcut. Cool!

So, it's a game improvement, rather than a bug!
Retired, but still loving it.

Real GPS units do this too.
Actually, SCS ETS2 sat-nav is the best one I've seen. Of course, all real-life sat-navs included. :)

@WerewolfCustoms, is considered a bug: the real GPS you will never enter into a private area. Also, maybe it is also closed the company side from the end but I'm not sure.

^^In this case the barrier on the other side of the yard was open so i was able to continue my job without having to turn back. But as you said, this route is indeed inappropriate.

It also still happens with several filling stations in the UK.

If the traffic is heavy enough then sure you can save a few seconds by taking the off/on stretch just passing the actual filling station :)
