I'd have to say my favourite so far (haven't yet been everywhere) would be between Stuttgart and Bern- beautiful scenery, an easy and relaxing drive. My least favourite by far is Liverpool to Swansea- it's so difficult to actually get anywhere because there are tons of roadworks, slow traffic and a lot of police around every time I want to open it up.

Scratch that point about Swansea- Romania has all those same problems x100.

A lot of the roads mentioned in this thread are rural roads. Those are by and large my favorite types of roads.

It's not necessarily my number 1 favorite, but the highways and bridges around St. Petersburg do an excellent job of depicting a large city, especially with the wide roads. I also just like driving in Russia, it's more stressful (in a good way) since I really can't read the road signs.

The black sea route from Iasi to Edirne is another fave. It has hills, Narrow roads of the cities and rural side, highways, bridges, great landmarks, coastal views and top of them all, a river ferry and border crossings like icing on a cake! That's almost everything you could find in the game.

I don't go by favorite routes, instead I categorize it by regions. I would say that The road to the Black Sea DLC is very stressful to go through. Barely any roads where I could just set my cruise control to 110 and enjoy the scenery, it's full of turns and WTH speed limits. I found a road in Romania that had a speed limit of 20 kph. Germany and Scandinavia are my favorites because it's very easy to find your self just relaxing in CC watching the mountains and rivers go by. Btw never go to Britian is the worst plane of all, bad scenery and unrealistically sharp turns in high ways.

The route from Bourges (FR) to Metz (FR) / Dijon (FR) . I love it, the forest is just magical. There's not much those kind of trees in the game, anyone have an idea what they are?

Whole of Norway basically even more beautiful with 1.40 update.

Southern France, crossing north Italy at the base of the Alps towards south-east Europe is good
But also from Sct Petersburg through eastern europe, to Poland or Germany is good
From Bergen, through Norway, Sweden to Finland or Just messing around in Finland doing short trips
Through Italy, RttBS and Istanbul
A lot of good sceniuc routes and places
Take short trips only on Corsica and Sardenia

Corsica secondary roads are beautiful, but also way more demanding than other places; so there's not so much margin to look at the surroundings unless one wants to call the rescue crane.
