When I see Oklahoma, then I need to place my bets when SCS have started working on Oklahoma after finishing Wyoming and Texas (and possibly also Montana), I would like to see if they giving us an easter egg and/or reference to this small-time YouTuber named Auto Auction Rebuilds, whose real name is Randy Lee Shear. I've came upon across to his channel back in 2019 when was searching videos about salvage car rebuilds on YT. He currently lives in Oklahoma as of today and his well-known content are walk-arounds of salvage vehicles in Copart yards, mostly in the Oklahoma City yard. I'm mostly watched his walk-around videos to get some ideas of new AI cars that deserves to be added in American Truck Simulator.

This would be a cool easter egg and/or reference that SCS could add in the game for Oklahoma. Maybe, they should add a new car dealer company that references Auto Auction Rebuilds in the same vein of what SCS did back with Doug DeMuro and DeMuro Cars.

Here's his channel link:

And, if they want, here's that channel's current logo for a company logo reference:

Stockyards City is off of I-40 in Oklahoma City. It's one of the largest live cattle markets in the world. It's also a tourist destination with a famous restaurant called Cattleman's Cafe and shops that cater to the Western cowboy aesthetic. Definite point of consideration.

Some things I think that are particularly noticeable about Oklahoma are, due to the state's history there is a huge tribal presence, with tribal-owned businesses and several tribal casinos along the highways. Winstar is huge, close to the border of Texas on I-35 and it's design is definitely eye-catching.

Tornado sirens and related weather equipment are a must here. You will see them along roads. Also, I think it would be a cool idea to maybe have a tornado forming off in the distance on an interstate from time to time. Nothing intrusive to gameplay, just a point of interest that is honestly something you are likely to see at some point if you spend a lot of time here.

The state is deeply religious and there are a great number of mostly protestant churches.

I can see justification for putting the Capitol on the map, because the eastern side of the highway it is on is highly industrial and trucks are in and out of that area constantly (I should know - I work at a warehouse over there). Kimray and other companies are along the eastern half of the interstate that would take you by the Capitol.

There are working oil wells around the central area of Oklahoma city and several in the state at large. Some areas have quite a bit of Wind Turbines as well.

We are somewhat known in parts of Oklahoma for a large amount of red soil, that is due to a high iron content.

Route 66 is largely intact in much of the state and is still a major tourism attraction. It largely runs parallel to the turnpikes and interstates, so a couple of side road detours or destinations in to some of the key places would be a great touch. There are some kitschy eye-catchers that could be justified with maybe just a little cheating about actual location. Like the Catoosa whale, which is close to the Port of Catoosa would be a fun add.

Speaking of famous kitsch, there is or at least was a billboard sign for the infamous Tiger King's tiger zoo along south I-35. some kind of parody of it could be funny (to some at least - I get why he's hated but he is definitely a recognizable figure associated with the state).

Oil/Petroleum/Natural Gas is a huge industry here.

coming into downtown Oklahoma city, you can see the old grain silo that has a large mural on it. in the same area is what is reportedly the largest bronze sculptures ever rendered that depicts settlers crossing a river during the 1889 Land Run.

Anyhow, good luck on the development. I love what you have done with the states so far.

Oh and by the way, I hope you remembered to add a rusty Iron star to every third house in the State of Texas and a state flag on everything imaginable, lest you forget for one second where you are. Or else it's just not Texas. : P

Water towers are important landmarks in prairie towns, and can have some unique designs. As we move into the Plains, the modelers should focus on recreating water towers at least for towns we can drive through; towns distanced from the road can have a basic copy-paste "prairie skyline," as I like to call it (water tower, steeple, and grain elevator).

Related to that last screenshot, there's also the WinStar World Casino and Resort. I'm sure it's already been mentioned here, but it's such a wild building it deserves repeating.
The Journeys of Zephyr of the American West

Handy maps and diagrams.

Furthermore, I consider that I-80 across Nevada must be redone next.

Dec 22nd news. New truck stop. Oklahoma City's first Quik Trip Truck stop. Its right of I-35 so by the time Oklahoma is ready to release, perhaps this will be in place to have in ATS as a one off truck stop. https://www.yahoo.com/news/location-app ... 33125.html

Quik Trip originates in Tulsa Oklahoma. It would be cool to see this chain start populating as a new gas station in the South region.

to add on to the comment above another quik trip truck stop has been announced in the city of Moore Oklahoma
a south of OKC so another option for a truck stop notable businesses near by are the Flynn rail yard and the street it is on can link to the airport in Oklahoma city as many cargo trucks take N 27th St/SW 104th St to Portland Ave to get to serval distribution centers such as the amazon distribution center
