Ya, I can understand why they would not add millitary assets in game or bring attention to them, but I do hope it is represented in some way, it is a very important part of the Ogden and Northern Utah area. But mainly im still just very excited to see what Utah has to offer for ATS, it looks grat so far and am super excited to see my state make it in game.

Well, I think iv played enough of Utah for long enough to make a sound "review" or "critique" of this DLC.

I LOVE IT, its not perfect and is missing a few things that I hope can be added later, but all in all this DLC impressed me very much, I love driving it as no mater what part of the state im in I can recognize where I am because it looks so similar to the actual location here in Utah. I am very pleased with what you have done, it is incredible how accurate things are, its obviously not perfect, but given the space you had to work with, im very impressed. Utah looks beautiful both in real life, and in this DLC, you have totally beat my expectations.

The only things I can rely say im disappointed in are the lacking roads, Utah doesn't have all that many roads as its mostly wilderness but there are a few I think you could have added, specifically SR-12, which is one of the countries most beautiful roads with the winding road going through bluffs in amazing tunnels. I also was hopping, but not surprised, that Promontory would be included, but there is really not much that can be done as it is purely a scenic place with no actual industry ( save for ATK ) anywhere near it, although it would be amazing to see the golden spike monument and both the 119 and Jupiter represented in game ( Im a big train fan as well as a truck fan ), but again without anything to actually go to transport goods, its extremely out of the way and I can see why it was left out, maybe in the future if ATK is added the Golden Spike monument can be included as well.

One of my other gripes is that Ogden only really has 1 ramp to the freeway ( I know its technically 2 but you are limited in the directions you can get onto the freeway ) I understand why another one could not be added because of the tight scale, but I still would have loved to see 12th st or 21st exits, but again, I understand how hard that would be with the Brigham exit being so close, one way I think you could fix this would be adding Hwy 89 all the way to the Brigham interchange before sardine canyon heading to Logan and allowing us to enter that way, but again I understand the decisions made.

On top of that I was a little upset that there was not farming destination in the Ogden region as it and its surrounding areas have a lot of farming, It is even represented in game with all the beautiful fields, which is why I am a little bit surprised that there was no farming industry in Ogden. I hope this can be added later.

I also wish Salt Lake International Airport could have been added as a cargo destination, and just to be in game, but again, with how cramped things are both IRL and in game I can understand why you would axe the airport.

This one is minor but it would add a lot of realism. Utah is not exactly union friendly and so has some unique vehicles in the state, for those actually interested on what this means, most vehicles in California like cement trucks and garbage trucks are older designs that require more than one person to operate, this is because the unions pushed to keep jobs, in Utah where our population is small and where unions are frowned upon for some reason we don't have a lot of these old design vehicles, for starters I have never seen a back unloading cement truck actually working in the state, all of the cement trucks I have seen have been single person front dumping trucks built by either Oshkosh or Terex ( they call them Front Discharging cement trucks ). Below are some pictures of these, note that the rear wheels will lift as well as several under the rotary bucket ( the number and placement depend on manufacturer and model ), these drive everywhere including on the freeway and are used here in Utah because only one person is required to operate them, they can unload and control the boom all from within the cab, elsewhere in the country these types are not used as this eliminates the job of people who guide the truck back and manually control the boom from the back. also note that these models of cement trucks are not just used exclusivly in Utah, they are in several other states as well, as a citizen of Utah I just only see them here, I have seen them in Idaho and Wyoming as well though, usually closer to the Utah border as I do not regularly go deeper into my neighbor states and so am not sure how much they are used elsewhere.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Here are some examples of some of them and how they unload the cement.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Its almost the same story for the garbage trucks, most states have back loaded garbage trucks so that there are more jobs, driver and loader ( now im sounding like a tank sim game ) but in Utah you only need one person as robotics can do the loading for the driver, though I have seen some with two on windy stormy days so one guy can go out and fix the positions of the garbage cans, here are some pictures of them, to be fair though, I have not noticed to much in the way of garbage trucks in game, I think I only remember seeing one but it was a long nose rear load, most here are flat nose, however it should be noted that all this may differ depending on district, if I remember correctly Logan city, who unlike Ogden, Salt Lake, and surrounding areas who mostly contract through Waste Management ( WM ), have there own city service that I think still uses older rear loading, I think this is mostly cost and not so much unionization though. This is a smaller nitpick that I am not so adamant about changing ( like the cement trucks ) but I thought it would be fun and informative to show how each state can very extremely from one another and have there own flavor and culture.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

They use the same base model for the dumpster trucks but without the robotic arm on the right side

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Another thing I would like to see are some small things that where missed like the entrence to arches National Park in moab, I know it doesn't actually do anything but It would be cool to see the entrance to it as you drive by, I also think it would be cool to See Devils Slide in Ogden Canyon ( I was going to mention it like a year ago but never got around to it ) Its a "small" rock formation in Ogden Canyon next to a limestone mine ( another thing I think should be added, specifically limestone as an industry item, more industry and more loads the better ). this rock formation is pretty cool to look at and has a small little offset from the freeway to take a look at it.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Here you can see the little off shoots separated from the 75 MPH traffic with a cement barrier

[ external image ]

Westbound just past the exit to the limestone mine

[ external image ]

Easbound

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

pictures of Devils Slide and what its made of to become this formation

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

And the Last thing Im going to suggest is something that im sure is being planed as it has been suggested countless times before, LIVESTOCK. Northern utah ( especially Ogden and areas north and east ) have a lot of Cattle, Sheep, and Horses. As I said earlier in this massive report ( sorry about that ) ogden ( and Utah as a whole ) has a large agricultural side to it and a lot is Cattle grazing and Sheep grazing, I hope that soon we can get livestock added as part of the agriculture industry in game and get the livestock trailers to come with it.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

I seriously love this map expansion the quality is amazing and second to none, I hope you can keep up the great work with ATS and make people from other states as happy as I am, I constantly smile while driving through the state as it is just that good and I can see the real locations that the game depicts in my head and it blows me away every time how close to the real thing it looks. I hope you take some of what I have said in this incredibly long post and maybe add some things in the future, and I hope you know how happy and amazed I am of your work on this DLC, It is an incredible job and I am glad I could help with what little I did/can.

US 6 / US 191 / Carbonville Road junction rework

The junction of US 6 / US 191 / Carbonville Road north of Price is one of few uncontrolled junctions on a major route in Utah to not have any separate lanes for turning traffic. The road often gets backed up by traffic waiting to turn left onto Carbonville Road. It also stands out like a sore thumb since the other junctions in Price are custom-made based on their real-world counterparts. I suggest adding at the very least a left-turn lane for southbound US 6 / US 191 onto Carbonville Road, which could easily be done by using the space provided by the shoulders, but feel free to look at the real-world junction and see which other improvements could be carried over to the game: https://goo.gl/maps/iaTTNsNDtUw1W5g28.

Parowan, Utah
Agriculture - Ray - DewPoint Hay Steamer
Perhaps in the future SCS Software may include this city and its agricultural region, which produces hay.
The distribution of agricultural machinery very specific to climatic conditions and local production that require, for example, a spraying baler.

Many regions in the Western United States need machines that are very suitable for the climatic condition, very specific.
So there is a type of machine that allows this region of the state of Utah to be a great producer of hay.

For more information on the agricultural implement: viewtopic.php?f=139&t=282424&start=70#p1376803

For information on a company producing this type of machinery (in the neighboring state of Arizona): viewtopic.php?f=139&t=282424&start=70#p1376849

It is a loading option associated with the rework of the Utah state map.

Farm Beef.
They purchase male calves and usually buy their cattle with weaners on dairy farms.
This type of livestock is involved in the creation, and conversion of dairy cattle (which are sold by dairy farms) to beef cattle.
They work concentrated to gain weight and obtain market value for slaughter and meat production in general, but you can also select the best ones and convert them into bulls for sale for cattle auctions and other dairy farms that need breeders to breed. low cost).
The work of this type of farm is therefore to do animal development for commercialization.

Hello, The UT-30 road in the far northwest of the state is missing, it could surely be added by the future.

This road starts at an I-84 highway exit and ends shortly after the Nevada border on I-80.

I love that viewpoints are showing up in other places now, I love that feature showing how much work and dedication goes into the map and its nice to just sit back for a bit and see the map from different angles, all I have to say it that I hope one is added in Ogden, You guys did such a great job recreating the city that when I drive downtown in game I can almost trick myself into thinking im actually driving down the street, only in a big truck, with far less traffic. with the new industry of beverage manufacture that was announced with Colorado. I thought I would suggest that one be added to Utah as both Coke and Pepsi have plants in the state. as part of this I also think that extending hwy 89 in Ogden should be done.

Iv made some pictures showing the real life locations of the Coca-Cola plant in salt lake and the Pepsi plant in Ogden and where they would correspond best in game if one wanted extreme accuracy. Obviously if the plant(s) where added they would be the in game US beverage and bottling company but I figured Id show the actual companies that exist IRL for those that are curious.
Coke irl.jpg
coke.jpg
Pepsi irl.jpg
Pepsi.jpg
Now as some may have noticed I have added some road networks in white in Ogden. I think that US 89 should be added next to I-15 for many reasons. Firstly more routs is great for detours and just for fun driving. Second I think Ogden needs another connection to the freeway and the "Brigham City" exit at hwy 91 meets up with 89 at the sardine canyon entrance IRL and would be a great alt rout and entrance to downtown Ogden in game. Third it would allow for going around the scales, now hear me out, there have been new features added with the port of entries and now with own-able trailers we can get setups that aren't legal in other states, it could be interesting and fun to do a risky delivery and dodge the scales, but if while driving we ever get a citation from a cop we would also face fines for dodging scales and having a non conforming trailer weight or configuration. Roads around scales are also currently in the game, below is a picture of one in Idaho. And finally if the roads are extended/added/opened up we will be able to drive under the Ogden Sign which I have wanted to do since they showed it but unfortunately was placed on the other side of a invisible wall and so would never normally be driveable.
Idaho scale dodge.jpg
Now I will show a closer view of my proposed 89 addition, this is the best rout I think could be done with the scale, the real 89 travels through two small towns (Willard where the I-15 port of entry is located IRL, and Perry) so some sporadic houses could and fruit tree orchards (there are many fruit tree orchards in Willard and Perry) be placed on either side of the road to block the view of I-15, and for some variety and to add detail. The road is built on the foothills of the mountains so open space close to the mountains would be good and accurate. It may be necessary to change some of the mountain detail in game but as the road is close to the mounting hiding 89 and I-15 from view of Ogden, and hiding Ogden from view of the Sardine canyon entrance should not be to difficult with its winding path which was as accurate as I felt like portraying it, the only more accurate thing I cold have done would be to make the road a little bit more winding in the strait section next to I-15.

ogden 89.jpg
Now back to the beverage companies, with the modifications the location of the in game plant would be here.
Pepsi zoom.jpg
Now with the scale of things I think it would be fine to move the location of the plant in Ogden, or Simply not put one in Ogden, as there will be only one bottling company in game with no competition two of the same company in cities right next to each other would not relay be necessary. So I think if it is to be added (which I think it should) It should be placed in salt lake city. Not necessarily in the place I have shown, places don't have to be exactly where they are IRL but It would be cool to at least see another industry, especially the bottling company added to salt lake, which in the south has lots of nice open space to add industry, besides I have another proposal for a business to be added to Ogden, and this one would be completely new and add some fun routs, but more on that later.

I hope that Utah and the game in general keeps getting worked on and upgraded, I love playing it and cant wait to see what the future holds.

your suggestion is very good. the Coca-Cola soft drink factory is something very cool it would be very interesting if SCS Software got the license for Coca-Cola it would be fantastic a very real brand famous in the world.

All of this would also open up many possibilities for Euro Truck 2, and the other expansions With Canada, Mexico, Brazil ... eventually Japan, China, Australia, and there are also several coca-cola factories.
