Idaho is a state with two very distinct personalities. completely flat and very mountainous

the south side is known for its vast expanses of farm fields and prairie land. wide open spaces down here
the north side of Idaho is where the Rocky Mountains sit. bounded on the east side by Montana split at the Continental Divide

LOOKOUT PASS

Lookout Pass is the eastern entrance to Idaho via I-90. dropping in from the continental divide and the state line with Montana

lets begin at the top at the Montana state line. elevation 4725 FT above sea level

we will be headed westbound on I-90

Craters of The Moon National Monument and Preserve

this is a very unique geography feature within a remote area of Idaho. volcanic basalt fields that were once covered by lava that just cooled and became frozen in time
