I wonder if Scs Software will release the old game "18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal" on Steam too.
I saw that recently this old games have been added to steam:
- 18 Wheels of Steel Convoy
- 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin
- 18 Wheels of Steel Across America
Will Pttm come to Steam ?
is the old games updated to Support Windows 10 and modern hardware?

Perhaps, but only SCS knows... The question that comes to my mind though, is why would you want to add the unnecessary overhead of running Steam to run a game that doesn't require it? That does not compute.

Most of these old games run just fine without even starting Steam. They don't get injected with the DRM mechanism.
Still I have to bang the drum: Please publish your old games on gog.com!

They might just be testing the waters. I wouldn't mind seeing some renewed interest in PTTM just to give people some perspective when judging ATS and modding in general. I probably wouldn't buy a steam copy unless it was on sale or had some upgraded features though — my CD copy still works perfectly on Win 7.

I ask the same question as before, just substitute "gog.com" for "Steam".Bandit & The Snowman wrote:Still I have to bang the drum: Please publish your old games on gog.com!

Ok sure, why not. Since gog.com sells all games without any overhead, wrapper or whatever but completely standalone like in the good old days, the one big advantage they have over simply selling the 18WoS franchise via SCS' own infrastructure is that they provide just this infrastructure, which is one of the key points that make SCS want to migrate to Steam. Oh, and they offer sales, too.
