Garage numbering issue

#1 Post by RB26DETT » 24 Nov 2013 12:32

Greetings to all EST2 fans. I'm experiencing an issue with garages ordinal numbers. I currently have 3 garages, mine first was in Praha, second in Brno and third in Ostrava. They are respectively numbered 1,2,3. Once I bought my fourth once in Wroclaw I noticed that it's now the first and other's numbers have moved by one. I tried buying my 4th garage in different cities, same result. I've deleted all of my mods, this didn't help either. I've tried everything that I can think of and finally gave up and currently have 3 garages, hoping that this will be fixed in following patches. Soma may say that this is an issue not worth addressing, but as a perfectionist I find it very irritating.

Is the problem repeatable? Are you able to create a new profile and see if it happens again? This might have to be moved to the Bugs sub-forum, if it is indeed a bug.

I will try starting another profile now. P.S. I brought this issue on Steam ETS2 forum and there were people who was also experiencing it. My guess it's constant.

I've tried creating a new profile and even worse happened. I choose my first garage to be in Liverpool, than drove to Manchester to buy my second. Once I did so Manchester's garage became first. It's like inverted sorting, the last you buy in number 1 in the list.

Moved to Bugs 1.7.1

Hopefully this can be looked at by the testers.

This first happened on patch 1.7. Then I upgraded to 1.7.1 hoping that it will fix it, but it didn't.

Implementing stack is easier than a FIFO, maybe they made a stacklike enumerator to save memory :)

I thought so but that's ridiculous, how much memory can you save with garage numbers? ;)

With all the added features since first release, it could make a small difference. I don't know. I'm not a programmer. All I know is that there have been several updates since release, yet the minimum requirements remain the same.

Still, I imagine that this would be something worth looking into and fixing, if possible.
