That's what I thought, some allow it others not, there is another camera on the main central road heading north to Kiel.nftbu wrote:No, inside the game you have 90 km/h Limit in Germany at the speeding cameras.
Speeding fines

Re: Speeding fines
Another fine traveling at a speed of 89K's in a 90 zone:
Code: Select all
Radar Error ; [31/05/2014 23:08] (sec+0005-0001);21247.3;9.76764;-1851.25
Re: Speeding fines
what is that hard to accept of fact that speed limit in germany for truck is 80kmh even on hiway?
cameras have cca 10% tolerance, so they detect offense on 88kmh and more.

Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

Re: Speeding fines
Max, shouldn't cameras have a 10% tolerance the other way round?
So you can do a bit over the speed limit and still not get fined?
That's how they work IRL...
If someone sent me a fine for doing less than the posted speed limit, I would drag their ass to court so fast, that their butt-cheeks would leave burning skid marks on the ground...

Corrected speed limits in Austria, Belgium and Germany
Perhaps you can make the logical leap on your own from here?Reece wrote:Previously I could do 95 without a fine!
Re: Speeding fines
I was under the assumption that the shown speed limits were used in the game!!! Plus some were saying one thing some another!!
Rather odd then that most radars will not result in a fine, only a few!!!

Re: Speeding fines
@Werewolf I think that is what Max was saying.
I thought 90 was the limit across Europe, at least when I read what people was talking about the speed limit before.
With the more specific speed limits for trucks it would be nice it there was a speed icon in the RA that shows what the allowed speed was.

Re: Speeding fines
No, 90km/h (55.92mph) is the EU wide mandated truck speed limiter setting for trucks unless running under various derogations like truck age or use which don’t require speed limiter.Swede wrote:I thought 90 was the limit across Europe, at least when I read what people was talking about the speed limit before.

Re: Speeding fines
In some countries the limit is 80 kph.
The game allows a 10% margin over the speed limit, afaik, so 88 kph should be the upper safe limit.

Retired, but still loving it.

Re: Speeding fines
Well, if you want REAL realism, the first fine should be X amount of money, the second fine should be the amount of the first fine plus X amount of money, the third fine should be the amount of the first fine plus the added amount of money of the second fine plus X amount of money, etc. Just like in real life, eh?
