If you don't take notice of them, it's your own fault for getting fined.

Any speed limit sign at a road forbids to drive faster. It doesn't allow everybody to drive that speed. Of course general limits for trucks will cut your allowed speed down, regardless what any visible limit suggests by picturing a higher value.

No. Every country has its own general max truck speed limits. These are defined by the law. Every truck driver has to know these limits when he enters the country.

Sure it does. For example, if the speed limit is 70 then you can do 70. 71 or faster is illegal, but the limit is 70 not almost 70.

No Axel, it means the fastest speed on that road is 70, it does not necessarily mean the vehicle you are driving is allowed to travel at that speed, which is the context Reinhard was providing.

If SCS does their homework for ATS and post the correct speed limit signs on our Interstates you will find from 55MPH to 65MPH and that is faster than your little 80KPH. And don't look for those warning signs about radar ahead, instead watch for that sneaky little 4 wheeler behind the commercial advertising sign with the little hand held radar gun. You won't have to worry about your fine being posted online as you will be pulled over and given a slip of paper that you won't enjoy reading.

The cops in the U.S. are pretty sneaky its true. But in 30 years of driving all over the U.S. I've got caught by a speed trap once, in rural Arkansas. So . . . even though they don't put out "warning signs" about "radar ahead" if you observe the road, other traffic, and what is coming up ahead, you can in large part predict where a cop is likely to be hiding with his radar gun.

I don't know if it is the case in Europe, but in the U.S. it is seemingly an unwritten law that, you will not be pulled over and cited for up to ~10 miles per hour over the speed limit, except in sensitive areas like school zones or something. Speed limits on many northeastern U.S. Interstate highways are 65 mph (104 km/hr), for all vehicles, but pretty much all vehicles go from 75 to 85 mph (120 to 136km/hr).

Yeah that's fun as long as it lasts, then I'll suggest go to ETS studio, put 2 zero's behind Speeding Fine and then see who's laughing - haha
I'm a billionaire, done all the experimenting to see how the game behaves in all it's facets. Now I want to get serious with big fines, forcing me to drive very neat + carefully.

What you forget is the absent decimal which means you travel at 70.9 km/hr, above the speed limit, but your speedometer can only display 70
