Air Brakes Simulation Not Working!!!!

Hi guys am experiencing a problem with the Steam purchased version of my Game..It is 1.10..I notice that anytime i select the air brakes simulation option in settings the air brakes do not work at all....I have no mods..and am using the default game..I even did some troubleshooting myself..I tried with using a new profile from scratch..still no dice..I thought it may be my logitech g27 steering wheel..But i tried it without that and just using the keyboard only and it still doesn't work..I tried in Gme default trucks with quick jobs no dice..I tried with my own personal truck..still no dice..I believe it might be a bug..But i really want it to work since I got my steering wheel wanted to see if i can handle the air brakes.Only thing i didn't do was try the cd version ofthe game...But i recently bought it tru steam so i was hoping u guys might be able to help me figure out why it's not working..Also tried it on my gaming labtop..and same problem.Your help will be greatly appreciated..thanks

Game log contents please. (which you can find under "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\game.log.txt", you may use Pastebin if your log is too large.)

The air brake simulation should be working the moment you turn the truck on, pressing the brake should reduce the brake pressure by a certain amount after which it is re-built up again over time with the engine running.
Pressing the brake too many times in a certain period would cause the brakes to lock up, at which point you have to wait for brake pressure to build back up again before being able to move.

Yes i am aware of how the air brakes work...Previous versions from 1.9..i remember once i select the air brakes simulation in settings..The engine starts up but am not able to move the truck off until the pressure builds up for a while...But now am able to start the truck and pull off as usual even though the air brakes simulation is on..And am able to drive the truck for hours as if it's not selected..I also tried a different labtop with a fresh windows install with a new default profile and the same thing occurs..I need to find a friend who has the game to et them check for me if it works for them..So i can rule out something may be wrong on my end.

Hi i just tested on my other gaming labtop not the steam version..And it does the same thing..When i select it doesn't work..Usually before once i select the air brakes am not able to move the truck unless it's builds up enough pressure..But now i am able to roll out and drive around and use braking as normal whether am on a quick job or personal truck..I need to find out from friends if this feature work for them then i can confirm the problem is with me..But i have tried almost all troubleshooting steps...thanks

turn off engine. then press brake pedal repeatedly. you should hear air going out. if you have truck with right gauge, you can see dropping pressure on gauge as well.
press the pedal again, and again. when you do not hear hissing sound anymore, you have empty air tank. then start engine and try to go.
note that the simple automatic transmission will affect this as it brakes for you automatically and do not release brakes it if you do not drive.
(btw, you have many mods, its quite possible that some of them interfere with this option also)

sorry about the logs..what happened is I was suppose to give u the logs after i just installed the game without any mods....But i would take your suggestion and try it out and see if it helps..thanks though.Meanwhile I would also try to do over my windows OS and download and install the latest 1.11 and create a new profile without any mods..and try again and see what is happening..One thing i am using my wheel with the H-shifter and spillter setting..Hope it won't interfere with the air brakes...

Hi i just wanted to let u know u r the boss!!!!! I followed just as u said and empty the tank..and now it is working as it should..I need to wait for the air pressure to build up..But can u tell me if i would always need to empty the tank before i start up running? Would really like to get to know this feature better..thanks

In a well maintained truck, pressure in the air tank should remain nearly full even after have been parked a week... So no, you should not have to wait for pressure to build up every time you start it up.

When I was learning for my truck license, I was taught that the air brakes should be bled (emptied) every night due to moisture in the air condensing into water when it's put under the high pressure of a braking system, and water in your air lines is a Bad Thing.
Also, if it's cold weather that moisture can then freeze overnight in your brake air lines, which is a Very VERY Bad Thing for numerous reasons.

These days in modern trucks with efficient air dryers built into the air compressors it's probably less of a concern, but still probably good practice.

as was told, empty air tank is result of truck in bad shape or driver who doesn't know how to use brakes properly. in most real life situations you just start and go. this system is designed so that you have always working brakes on the way (otherwise you simply won't go).

note, that there is one another issue that affects this and is purely game based: when you load game or otherwise create truck actor (eg taking truck from you employee) you will always get truck with full air tank, because its state is not stored anywhere (yet).
