I never had problems before this update. This happened again in the past but it is fixed with an update. I have over 150GB free on the hard drive.

ps: I read that someone else has the same problem: viewtopic.php?f=111&t=169573

no. that is completely different issue.
you have to set your OS to give 3GB virtual memory to applications. or update to 64bit OS, in that case applications will get 4GB of virtual memory.

I think I have already more than 3GB of virtual memory.

Another thing: The game works for about 5 minutes, sometimes even more, then stops working.

But I do not understand. You said that you have made no changes. Because before then I worked without problems? This problem occurs only with version 1:15

Just a quick comment/question out of curiosity:

Does this mean that this game may no longer work for a 32 bit OS?

The comments I have read saying you need to upgrade to a 64 bit OS or the problem is with the 32 bit OS seem to say so.

I would say: So with the update us 1.15 to 32 bits are excluded to play? The game before this version worked. Besides, I still am not sure it is the RAM. I closed all active processes, there are only those of the system and the game crashes. I state that in any case, before the 1:15 version worked even though I had some active process. The game ends when I do an operation (such as saving, when I do the arrow etc..) or in autosave.


Will this be causing the problem? :

ets2 could be run on 32bit without problem if you let system to give 3GB of its 4GB virtual memory space to application.

and issue is not RAM. its about VM. kind of difference.
even after update to 64bit system it will work without any additional RAM.

So, what do you recommend to set as the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB)? I have 4GB physical memory

Microsoft themselves recommend a minimum of 1.5 times the physical RAM, and recommend double, with a maximum of triple, in that very article I linked to you.

Just let the system decide. I haven't bothered with manually tweaking the pagefile in Windows in a looong time.

Minimum Memory: 16MB.
Recommended: 4602MB.
Currently allocated: 3368MB.
