It seems like every time SCS does an update someone posts about flowers or grass growing out of the asphalt. Now whether it's intentional for realism or a bug in the code, can you honestly say you have never seen this IRL? I know I have, plenty of times. So I don't see it as a problem, and I don't understand why anyone else would either. On the other hand, if it were a tree growing out of the road, that would be another story.

And by the way, your picture is too big and you're supposed to host your own images.

Unless it's a bug report, which it is.

... but is it really a bug or just a nice feature?

This signature virus has been spliced with the Fundementalism-B virus to create a new more contagious strain. Please look for it infecting a signature near you.

Well, as John Belushi would say "Excuuuuuse me!" [ external image ]

Actually I didn't notice that.

I think it is a very nice feature. I see stuff growing out of cracks in the road all the time. It took me awhile to figure out how to make this stuff show in the game without making it stutter too much, and now that I have... I like it all that much more. Very realistic looking.

I agree with Axel on this one, there has been a small shrub growing in the road just coming out of Duesseldorf, since the game was released.
I am glad it's still there.

What I have seen in this update is the occasional tree appear then disappear as suddenly, in the middle of a highway.
This I believe is related to the vegetation LOD fight, a bug report on that has been filed at SCS QA.

Reminds me somewhat of the late 60's top twenty hit by The Move of which the choruses lyrics were something like "I'm just looking, for the flowers by the drain.........."

(That's what it sounds like to me. I'll never know until I hear it on a Maxell!!!)
I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.

You made a simple statement of fact, and you were right of course. I take a pretty lighthearted view of most things, and it takes a lot more than that to offend me. There isn't much that does, except for the direct personal insults that some people are prone to make, and I don't even really take offense to that. It's just offensive behavior. The way I see it, the chip they have on their shoulders is their problem, not mine. But I do enjoy telling them off every now and then to put them in their place.
