Blender - Help center
Re: Blender - Help center
That looks fine to me, you can also use Smart UV Project https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.79 ... uv-project But for the cube tutorial Cube Projection should be ample.

Re: Blender - Help center
Ok. Thank you for the link and the help. I am going to take a look at that.
Re: Blender - Help center
I'm trying to get back into some simple modding after a break of a year or two. I've forgotten something that's part of the basic setup.
How do I set up tobj files to be used by blender.
As part of practive I've tried re-using tob's for mod's I've made in the past, but keep getting the error, 'tobj references DDS that doesn't exist' (or words to that effect).
What am I doing wrong?

Re: Blender - Help center
tobj files are readable before you convert them with blender.
Here is a example of one of my files:
my texture files are all tga files before convertion. Make sure you have the right path.
Here is a example of one of my files:
Code: Select all
map 2d
/vehicle/truck/actros_mp3/black.tga
addr
clamp_to_edge

Re: Blender - Help center
the path isnt needed, only texture name is enough and conversion tools does the rest, .tobj should be made with blender anyway where possible because then they will always work (same for textures so it works with OpenGL)

Re: Blender - Help center
I've had a look and can't see an obvious menu item for creating a tobj file. How do I do that in blender?
Oh and if anyone has the link to a good tutorial for the current version of blender/SCS tools that would be appreciated.

Re: Blender - Help center
You can create a basic .tobj in your material when linking .tga texture. For anything more specific, you need to reconvert original .tobj files to look at their setup/flags.

As soon as I've selected a texture, the mouse over help changes to reload tobj, not create.
Not sure if it's important, but I'm working on trailer skins, not truck skins.
I'm also not updating any material file as i've imported an old SCS trailer with a double sided UV map.
