You should never edit mat files. Blender should be used to generate the new mat file.
Editing a mat file will 99% cause it to fail checks when using the uploader.

@Madkine Yes, I know that Blender generates a "mat" file, so this is a bit strange to me. I will try your suggestion to delete the disputed "mat" files.

Here's what I found that has nothing to do with my mod.

Code: Select all

material : "eut2.dif.lum.rfx" {
	texture[0] : "/vehicle/truck/share/gps.tobj"
	texture_name[0] : "texture_base"
	add_ambient : 0
	aux[5] : { 4500 , 10 }
	diffuse : { 0.0196066 , 0.0196066 , 0.0196066 }
	reflection : 0
	shininess : 40
	specular : { 0.0100228 , 0.0100228 , 0.0100228 }
}

Code: Select all

ERROR [00002] (/ets2_signs_on_your_truck_and_trailer.zip/automat/92/92987b87bf27ff38.mat): Unable to find material file referenced by model descriptor /vehicle/trailer_owned/scs_gooseneck/accessory/r_banner/1mx15.pmd. The material must be placed in mod folder.

Strange things are happening! I returned the mod to game version 1.41 and it successfully updated, when I returned to 1.42 it wrote an error for the "mat" file (I changed the version in the "manifest" file). What's even funnier is that he reports the same error to the mod "signs on your trailer". I think the problem is SCS Workshop Uploader !!!

Remove all your exports, clear the CT cache, update all your looks to new textures, do a new export and a clean packing.

@Etrusan It didn't help either what you recommended, I deleted the exported files, cleaned the CT cache and packed the mod with Blender. Updated to Steam Workshop and typed the same error. Thank you for the advice.

Maybe import the file with issue in a new blend file and see if there is an error on import. It has happened to me before, that the blend file got borked and a new file was the only solution.

@galimim Yes, I tried to import and everything is fine. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, even if I'm wrong!? When there was a transition of the game from 1.40 version to 1.41, I also had problems on that occasion, the SCS Uploader was updated, so I managed to update the mod. Today I tried to lower the mod for game version 1.41 and SCS Uploader was for version 1.42 and I managed to update. I went back to 1.42 mode and again the same problems. Of course, it was written in the game that it was incompatible, which is logical. Blender does not report any errors when packing the mod, the in-game mode works properly.. It's a really weird problem, even worse because I can't describe the problem because of the language barrier. :cry:
