Interior Animations: How to move?
Interior Animations: How to move?
So I've got RJL's SISU, which I've added exterior window animations, however I'm stuck on the Interior Window animations.
How would I add them?
How would I add them?

Re: Need some help with interior Window Animations
the same way as exterior window animation
1. add modifier "Armature" and align object to armature
2. add vertex group win_open_l1 for left window and win_open_r1 for right window.
3. add weight paint

Would it be easier to use the Premium ones? How would I use those?
That's what I did for the exterior, removing the glass from the main SISU model

Re: Need some help with interior Window Animations
import the premium interior + animations, delete everything that has nothing to do with the side windows and bones for it, past it into the SISU interior and merge them
alternativ, if the difference between the interiors are just some textures, use the premium interior + animations and change the textures

Re: Need some help with interior Window Animations
forget to say the buttons are also important, you need to copy the mesh + bones also and delete the mesh in the sisu interior so it doesnt clip

Same here, I can't figure it out.

Re: Need some help with interior Window Animations
delete everything from the animation you dont need, all mesh and all bones, keep only the thing you want, bones can be deleted in edit modeAnnaKlintenitz wrote: ↑15 Dec 2020 20:09Would like to know this as well.
Been trying to merge animations for ages now and no success. :S
copy the stuff that you keeped into the animation you want it to be, now you should have 2 armature, select armature.001 (the one you copied over) then select the original armature and press ctrl + j to join them
now check if the animations still work, select the bone, go into pose mode and just move the bone around, if the mesh moves with the bone everything is OK, if not you need to normalize it, select bone, go into pose mode then select mesh and go into weight paint mode (ctrl+tab to change modes, should the mesh not be selectable when you are in pose mode go to Edit > Lock Object Modes in the top menu of blender, it has to be off) then you press F3 (or space depending on your blender settings) and type in normalize and select Normalize All
after this the animations should be merged, sometime blender loves to screw it all up and you get a fatal error after export, most likely some material was switch for whatever reason, go through all materials and check if the material is assigned to the right mesh, happend to me with the Premium, the seats had the dashboard decal texture and blender only knows why it did this change

hope it is somewhat written understandably but this is of the top of my head right now because i didnt do animation mergs in a while
