suitable_for[]: is not working with paintjobs

#1 Post by Sebastian7870 » 27 Feb 2021 08:03

Good morning!

I am currently having a problem for several hours now. It does not make any sense to me and it is a bit frustrating because this mod is almost finished. (Of course I want to test it out someday)

My Problem is the following:
I can't get the "suitable_for[]:" working for paintjobs - they don't appear ingame as soon as I write any unit name in it, even though the accessory with this unit name is "equipped" (they do not throw any errors and the unity names WERE CORRECT because I tested it with other accessories and it worked perfecly, so it has to do with the paintjob)

What I want is, that the "dachser" paintjob is only suitable for the wk73st.krone.boxcarrier.body, but not for any other body.

I made some pictures:
accessory_paint_job_data
accessory_paint_job_data
paintjob.sui
paintjob.sui
accessory_trailer_body_data
accessory_trailer_body_data

INGAME: (I know, the name of the paintjob file is "dachser" and the name of the paintjob is "Custom I". I did not change that yet, as well as the body location

I have a skin for my truck for specific chassis variants.
But I placed the suitable_for[]: in settings file.

Thank you. I found a solution too now.
(Though I am not using the paintjob method for painting the swapbodies anymore for other reasons)

I had to ad a Body for the Dolly and another Body for the Chassi.
Then I had to write BOTH of them in the suitable_for[]:
to work.
For example:
paint_job_mask: "...yourtexture.tobj"

suitable_for[]: "bodyunitTrailer.modname.body"
suitable_for[]: "bodyunitSlaveTrailer.modname.body"
