Fixing weird model geometry

Hi guys,

I'm working on a mod which has a weird model geometry on the openable windows. I'm trying to fix it but all attempts failed.

As you can see the the window has a second visible edge which looks even worse ingame.
Is there any way to get rid of the edge or "smooth" the edge to get an even surface on the window?

Did you check the vertex colors?

Actually vertex colors are a complete mystery for me but it's now solved.
