I used wrapper to import daf e6 animation (anim.pmd) from base.scs. Path was D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\base.scs
Project base path was: z:\e6animation So yes, not the same drive. So it will not be possible anymore to use different drives with newer BT?

@50keda

Thanks for your quick reply.
I tried to import .pim only. And from my SCS project base folder.

@AlexeyP: I have issues even with Blender/Blender Tools and all my files sitting on one drive partition. So it looks like some bug snuck in.

Obviously I haven't learned enough from past releases, that Windows simply requests testing prior release :D And all because of paths ;) Don't worry tomorrow this will be fixed ;)

Hi 50keda,

I have noticed on BT 1.9 that .font files are not included when converting/packing a mod.

I have a folder in my mod call /font and in it I have 4 files, my_font.font, my_font.mat, my_font.tga and my_font.tobj. The last 3 files are converted and included in the zip file, it's only the .font file that is excluded.

Also, can anybody tell/show me what the tobj file should look like for a font with BT, I have just used an accessory icon file for now.

Thanks
kenkeeley

@Michaleczeq , thanks for info, didn't look close enough when installing... compared to previous version this ones loads things much faster so it was about time to upgrade

Make sure you update to Conversion Tools 2.4. This was addressed quite recently.

A valid .mat for a font looks like this:

Code: Select all

material : "ui.white_font"
{
	texture : "scr_fhwa_b.tobj"
	texture_name : "texture"
}
And a valid .tobj for the same looks like this:

Code: Select all

map	2d	scr_fhwa_b.tga
addr	clamp_to_edge	clamp_to_edge
usage	ui
Your character atlas (texture) should be an 8bpp grayscale (type 3) targa. You can technically get away with a 32bpp RGBA targa but, because the converted dds texture will be uncompressed, you'll end up with it needlessly being 4x as large. ;)

Thanks Smarty, I'll update my conversion tools to 2.4, I'm on 2.3 I think.

Also, should the material name stay the same "ui.white_font" or should I change it to something like "ui.my_font"?

The material name should stay the same.
