Accessory - Curtain with electronics

Dear friends!

Here is modifed Chrismas DLC curtain. Just simply added flare texture and now it's looks like this:

But then I decided to make this texture as electrics in Blender SCS Parts section. Tried with red and yellow tessels. And here is the result: it does not work.

Is it game engine limitations or it's me doing something wrong?

What material you sued for so called "flares"?

I tried both flare and light.tex if I'm correctly understand your question.

Also, Mr. 50k, is it true that game engine does not display flare locator in truck interior?

Yep it is true about no flares in interior and that's why I was asking you what shader preset are you using on it.

Now you could solve this by using "unlit.vcol.tex" and putting it into part named "electric" and make in invisible in all variants. Electric part is automatically lighten up in game when engine electrics are turned on. Now if you don't know what I am talking about then you should import and investigate some of the interior back wall panels, they are made with this "system".

Well, it is easy to change back wall texture now.

But when I attach this texture with the same material to the tassel and assign it to electric part - it still does not appear :?

However if I turn on electrics variant in blender - texture will be shown in the game constantly.

Maybe tessels doesn't have this behaviour enabled... Because they are not direct upgrade of the truck rather they are attached to curtain model.

Thank you for explanations, Mr. 50keda!

I hope one day almighty SCS programmers will add that function to the game! (and interior flare locators too, so we could have something like this but above driver seat :D)
