@abasstreppas Thanks for the hint! I had the layers wrong arranged, now I feed stupid.
But it seem to work now.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
Make sure the plane has the same vertex color layers as the target object.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
it should be doable via python script, sadly this is all i know, programming languages were never my strong pointabasstreppas wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021 10:39 Yo, geeks
Is there any cheat to set vertex colors to multiple objects, like mass-coloring? It takes forever to do it one by one on my wheelpacks. The trailer version only has about 2000 objects i think, so you could guess...

Re: SCS Blender Tools
@abasstreppas there is a simple way to do this assuming you only want to have the same solid color on every object. I made a quick video to show how to do it - using data transfer modifier.
(you don't need to apply the modifier on each object if you keep the color cube - the modifier will apply on export by default).
edit:
just noticed this was already proposed and you did that

Re: SCS Blender Tools
@Harven Yeah, but thanks anyway. Maybe you should post that video to the tutorial section as it's very informative and simple to follow
Re: SCS Blender Tools
Very nice @Harven, I didn't knew about that. Very handy to use.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, so apologies if it isn't
Almost with every model I make, when I get to the stage of setting up the SCS Materials, after selecting the texture I want to use and confirming the UV Map, my mesh always seems to have certain normals flipped. I always make sure I manually flip my normals BEFORE applying the materials, but AFTER, some of the faces tend to be flipped, and I have no idea why. It sometimes drives me crazy that I have to go to each face and do 'inside' normal flips.
Surely I must be doing something wrong because I'm sure this can't be for everyone right?
Thanks for reading this.

@CrazyMango73 In edit mode, you can use Ctrl+N to recalculate normals on the 'outside' of the mesh. For most geometries, this will make the normals face the way you desire.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
I have done this. As you've said, it does work for most faces, but certain ones remain like that. Just a small annoyance I guess
