Ok, so here's the situation. I'm working on trying to make a 10x4*6 mod out of the existing 10x4/6 mod that's available for the Scania S, and I can't for the life of me figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong.

The mod opens with warnings about "Shader '' used by material 'mat_XXXX' is not implemented in Blender, 3D viewport shading will fallback to 'dif.spec'"

I have yet to successfully export the dratted chassis whether I've modded it or not, but I have at least completed modifying the mesh layers (piece_1, piece_6 and piece_8) that need modifying, and I have them available as .obj files if anyone wants to give it a go. All that's needed in addition to that is to rearrange the locators so "wheel_f_2" and "wheel_f_3" are moved 2.70466 m towards the rear, and "wheel_r_0" and "wheel_r_1" are moved the same distance forwards.

And then it needs to be exported.

I can provide the original chassis mod unlocked, as well as the piece_1, piece_6 and piece_8 .obj files, all I need is for someone who actually understands what the hell they're doing with the blender tools themselves to put the pieces together for me, because I don't have a clue anymore. Please help?

you need to import the mod with the base.scs in tandem so blender can load all needed textures for it, then you just need to rename the axles in right oder and move the steered axles further out/driven axles further in and export the model

As far as I understand it, what I need to do is the following:

1. install Blender 2.81, SCS Blender tools, Conversion Tools and Converterpix_wrapper (all done).
2. unpack Base.scs and Def.scs to an otherwise empty folder, and point Blender tools at that folder (presumably I need to unpack the mod to the same folder?)
3. Import the SCS truck model from Base.scs, then the modded chassis
4. Import my .obj files and replace the layers in the mod
5. Move the wheel locators

...

X. Press the "PACK MOD" button.

What steps am I missing? Because I assume I need to do some cleanup at some point or else everything ends up in the mod?

scratch 2. nobody needs to do this, unnecessary and waste of time/space you only need specific files if you work with hookups or prefabs

when you import the mod mark the base.scs and add it to the archive list

Image

if you did it open the mod and BT will open the base.scs and you mod, with this all necessary mods will be loaded, click on "texture to base" so BT will import all textures to the folder called base because if you pack the mod you dont need the textures because the game provides them

if you did that you can edit the mod (move and rename locators) then you need to set the export path

Image

pack mod and test it ingame, ofc in def files you also have to change wich axle will be steered and or liftable

Oh wow, it finally worked. Thanks @xXCARL1992Xx! Now I just need to add some "suitable_for" stuff to Eugene's mod, or else I only get Mighty Griffin bumpers when I have both mods installed.

Edit: or not. The chassis shows up, and renders in game.. but then I click on the 8x4 chassis and parts of the 10x4 shows up, which is not supposed to happen, I think.

Can someone explain why this happened to the 8x4 chassis?

Image

I've made absolutely no changes to the base model. The only .pmd file in the mod is the one for the 10x4 chassis, the only .sii is also for the 10x4 chassis. If I remove the mod, the 8x4 chassis goes back to normal.
