I'm preety sure I have no idea how this is supposed to work.
So am I supposed to copy/paste an extracted base folder into all my "Project Base" folders?
Or do I do it like this:
-Workspace Folder
-Project Base
-Base
If that is the case, then how Blender is supposed to know which files from "Base" it should take? Or do I have to specify them manually?

Say your project base is F:\uzzbutt\Projects\Steal Moh's Cookies\base_cookies_r_mine\. BT will attempt to load texture resources and libraries in this order (decreasing priority):
- F:\uzzbutt\Projects\Steal Moh's Cookies\base_cookies_r_mine\
- F:\uzzbutt\Projects\Steal Moh's Cookies\base\ (sibling base)
- F:\uzzbutt\Projects\base\ (parent base)

I'm very confused about linking to the game base files, I never quite got the workflow images

@SimulatorSam: just take a look at truck accessory beginners tutorial video. There you will notice that vehicle reflection was used from "base", as you don't want to pack it into the mod.

Ok, so I assume the "base_cookies_r_mine" is the one I specify in Blender as "Project Base"?Smarty wrote:

And the others are recognised automatically?
Just bear with me, I think I'm slowly getting it.

Add a splash screen when launching Blender saying:
SCS Blender Tools: Powered By Magic
(cause there's no other way you can explain it )

50k, Ohhhhhhh I think I get it now! I totally missed the part where if you name the folder 'base' it won't be packed. Now the workflow images make more sense to me...
Also, could a shortcut to an extracted base folder work?

It's mostly the + dlc's part I don't recommend. It's easy to forget what belongs to which package if it's all slumped together in one pile. I just like to stay on top of which resources I use from where (yet another way I'm weird). I think my parent base only has environment materials and climate/world defs.
Otherwise, I'm slowly trying to make a tool that might make the whole asset transfer process easier. But it's a long way away (literally just a non-functional GUI design so far).
