Missing materials after importing model
Missing materials after importing model
hello Guys,
So I have just started learning and using blender, and I try to edit a little this Premium for myself.
But when I import the model, Blender cannot find the materials for the model, so can"t load textures properly.
I've been searching for the missing materials in the extracted base folder, but I couldn't find them.

Can somebody help me where are they located?
Thank you in advance too..
Have a nice day!!

Re: Missing materials after importing model
Ok I think I figured out what is wrong.
After converting the "automat" folder disappears, and have to copy manually, but the video not saying this.

Re: Missing materials after importing model
I believe there are issues with Blender 2.91.2
I use 2.90 and don't have any problems.
I think @Harven has written a new shader_presets file already that solves the 2.91.x issues.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.
Re: Missing materials after importing model
Okay, so I installed Blender 2.90.
I am still unable to convert the project, the conversion tool is full of errors, and I don't know how to solve them.

I don't understand why is it so difficult to simply import, edit wheel dummy positions and export a vanilla scs truck...

Re: Missing materials after importing model
okay. quick tutorial:

- Download ConverterPIX Warpper https://github.com/simon50keda/Converte ... rapper.zip
and activate it in blender addons. - make a directory and call it base
- copy base.scs and scs_extractor in this folder. you get scs_extractor here: https://modding.scssoft.com/download/scs_extractor.zip
- now open blender and set project base path to base folder.
- you need unit folder first. you get this from the base.scs. Make a new directory in your base folder and move base.scs and scs_extractor to this folder. click base.scs and move it over the exe file. a black window will appear and it takes some minutes. just wait till the window closes.
- Copy unit folder to your project base path
- Go to Import > SCS Models - ConverterPIX & BT (*.scs) and select base.scs
- Import /vehicle/truck/renault_premium/truck.pmg
- If you want you can delete the new folder within the base.scs and exe file. delete it or move it. it shouldn't just be in your base folder.
- make your changes to the model. for example move the objects wheel_* a bit up
- Go to scs tools > Output export and click on export
- no errors should appear.
- now go to conversion and pack mod

- if you followed my conversion settings. you will now get test.scs. now copy automat, vehicle folders and truck.pmc, truck.pmd and truck.pmg into a fresh folder inside your base path. now move the truck.* files inside /vehicle/truck/renault_premium.
- select automat and vehicle folder and make a zip/scs file with store compression. I use winrar for this.

@KGergely Quick check, you are using 1.39 game files right?

Re: Missing materials after importing model
@Madkine Yes, freshly extracted the base.scs
@Dotec Thank you so much for the great tutorial, I just have one question which is not clear. At the hookup section what do you mean re-select hookup settings? What should I select instead the original?
Just click on it again?

Re: Missing materials after importing model
if you have the unit folder in the base folder before you import the model you dont have to do anything, only if you are missing hookups you have to reselect them, mods for example
