I made a vector image of the Euro 5 badge in adobe illustrator. Then I saved it in an "svg" file so I could import it in a Blender. You can see the result in the pictures. I like it and I would like to hear your opinions as well.

Considering that I study in the old days (50+ years). I would have to ask a few questions.

1. How best to do the option Decimate?
2. Is there any more detailed explanation about the polygons (some link on this issue would be desirable)?
3. How can I reduce the size of the badge, is currently 576kb?
Initially it was about 1.5 + mb. I reduced it to "Decimate" but if I further reduce then the model happens to deform. Thanks to everyone for the tips and answers. ;)

best regards

1) Best way to decimate is by hand. Retrace the highpoly version manually.
2) Depends on what info you're looking for.
3) Scale down the texture. There's not really much you can do.

Thank you for the answer, but what you wrote didn’t help me..

Look at this horrible gap I marked. This happens when you use decimate. And manually when used it gets even worse. There is information about polygons on the official website of Blender, but when you make for ETS 2, then it is a nightmare. And when you run the Check Geometry in the SCS Tools then print "Geometry check found 753 degenerated polygons".

I still haven't been able to get the right results. It would be nice if someone could explain it a little better, what the problem is?

If your mesh isn't properly connected then decimate won't work as expected. And I already told you to retrace the shape by hand, it's a simple logo, it doesn't have a very complex geometry.

@Etrusan Is there an option to do it automatically. I watched video tutorials that there is an option to do it automatically but if I apply it to the model then it doesn't work properly. In the reviews, I found a great option to include the Mesh 3D Print Toolbox option. This option helps a lot but again has problems with degenerated polygons.

If automated process gives you degenerated polys, then you need to decimate by hand. There's no magic to do it for you.

Does this problem have a solution? I didn't find a solution on the SCS Software Modding Wiki on how to solve this problem
